Students walk around the University of San Diego campus in the sunshine with blue sky

Hi, I'm Dulce, your University of San Diego Admissions Counselor.

Being a first-generation Latina, daughter of immigrants, has taught me the power of education. Having been through this process myself solidified why I work in education and why access to these spaces is so important to me. Every year that I work in admissions with excited students affirms why I do what I do.

    Why USD?
I fell in love with the beautiful campus and the amazing year-round weather, but the real reason I've picked USD is the University's commitment to service and sustainability, along with its decisive and strong stance on diversity and inclusion. I want to work for a place whose ideas and beliefs align with my own.

My top tip for the admissions process:
Be curious and ask questions! There are nearly 4,000 colleges in the US alone, and not all of them are your "future home." Ask about the things that you are interested in learning about, and don't worry about what others have to say. At the end, pick one, and it should be the one that you are actually excited about.
