Hi, I'm Martina, your University of San Diego Admissions Counselor.

I grew up as a military brat, but spent the majority of my time in San Pedro, CA. I have been a part of the Torero Family since 2006 and have been in San Diego ever since. The city of San Diego is such a wonderful place to be able to learn, work and live in. There’s so much to do and you’ll never get bored. Just come see for yourself!

    Why USD?
The University of San Diego has a warmth that shines through its campus and its community. USD’s mission to cultivate lifelong learners who are committed to making a positive impact on the world deeply resonates with me. It’s a beautiful place in a vibrant city, and I love exploring all that it has to offer!

My top tip for the admissions process:
My best tip for the college admissions process is to research and connect! The University experience is not one-size-fits-all, so determining what matters most to you is key. Reflect on what you want, whether that’s a strong community, specific majors, class sizes, or a particular location. Once you’ve figured that out, reach out to current students or your admissions counselor to learn more about your areas of interest. Last but not least, if you can, visit the schools you’re considering and trust your gut!
