Hi, I'm Rachel, your University of San Diego Admissions Counselor.
Originally from Saint Paul, Minnesota, I found my way to USD as an undergraduate, where I started my experience in admissions as a Torero Tour Guide! My time at USD has changed my life, and I am thrilled to continue it in my role as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor. I am so excited to share our beautiful community with prospective students and families and help others find their place as a Torero.
Why USD?
While the beauty of the campus drew me in, the community is what fostered my love for USD. The students are incredibly friendly, the faculty and staff are beyond caring, and with the University's continued commitment to diversity and inclusion, service and sustainability, I believe USD can be a home for anyone and everyone.
My top tip for the admissions process:
College is not one-size-fits-all, so look for institutions that match your values and can provide the best experience for YOU. Do your research: class sizes, student engagement, professional development, food (it matters more than you think). Visit the campus, if you are able, to see for yourself if it is the right fit. Trust your intuition! No one knows you better than yourself. Finally, take a deep breath. Your future is so bright, and it is only just beginning!
